Decision Support System for DSLR Camera Selection Using the Simple Multi Attribute Rating Technique (SMART) Method
Main Article Content
Abstract
The development of DSLR camera sales on the market is increasingly widespread and competition with all the features and battery duration available means that consumers are often faced with problems such as difficulties in choosing a DSLR camera. This research aims to develop a decision support system (DSS) for selecting DSLR cameras using the Simple Multi Attribute Rating Technique (SMART) method. The SMART method was chosen because of its simplicity and ability to handle various attributes in decision making. In this study, several criteria relevant for DSLR camera selection were identified and used to evaluate available alternatives. These criteria include camera resolution, price, weight, additional features, and battery duration. The system being developed is expected to help consumers make more informed decisions that suit their needs and preferences. The design of a decision support system in selecting a DSLR camera uses an object-oriented approach using scores obtained from sales of DSLR camera recommendations, coding, flowcharts. The results of this research aim to produce a Decision Support System application for selecting a DSLR camera that can assist consumers in selecting a DSLR camera according to consumer criteria.
