Application Search Places Internship Students SMK State 1 Banjarmasin Based on Nearest Route Based WebGIS

Abstract

SMK State 1 Banjarmasin is a State High School of Instruction (SMK) moving in the academic field that has 5 specialties namely Institutional Financial Care, Office Management Automation, Online Business and Marketing, Computer and Network Engineering, as well as Multimedia. SMK State 1 Banjarmasin conducted a prakerin which is an internship for students aimed at increasing the supply of field work practice to plunge into the world of work, because this activity is mandatory to be carried out in connection with the vision and the mission of SMK state 1 Bankarmasin as well as improving the quality of education and the needs of the labour force, but the system of search and registration of prakerins is still using the old system that is already less effective and efficient. From this problem arose the idea of creating a search and registration application for internships using WebGIS technology that can determine the location of the internship and the nearest route to the student's location. The method used is the waterfall method that is systematic and sequential in building the system. In the creation of this application use PHP as its programming language, and leaflets to display the map. With the presence of the Application for Internship Search for SMK State Students 1 Banjarmasin Based on the Nearest Route based on WebGIS is expected to make it easier for students to search for internships that are strategic and appropriate to their field of expertise.
